Does anyone know where you can purchase bottles like these?

There is a trick to find them with Google Images... let me try.

You download the image then move it to the Google Search area and it finds images that match or are similar.

Those are so neat! You might want to find a glass artist near you and see if they can copy them.

Clint, that's usually done with heat in a kiln.

Glass melts and I'd have to look up the temp, but you can attach a wire around the lip or rim of the top of a bottle and suspend it inside the kiln. If the kiln has an auto shut off, just set it for the melting temp, and not a single degree hotter. The glass will soften and the weight of the bottom stretches the neck like that as it starts drooping.

But the heat has to be totally controlled otherwise the entire bottle will be a molten melted mess.

The top lip usually has to be cut off then because the wire might embed itself in it, but that's easy to do with molten wire or with glass cutters.

You can also turn bottles sideways and let them collapse as they melt from the heat. I'll see if I can find some examples on the net. Anyway, that's how it's done. We used to do it sometimes in some of the art classes I taught, a break from throwing pots on the wheel. If you melt them just right they make great little serving trays and the neck becomes a flat handle for the tray.

It's really easy if you have access to a kiln. I think the temp of most of that glass has to be about 1500* F, but I can't remember for sure.

So maybe this will help you. It's a simple process if you have a kiln. A regular oven doesn't get hot enough to melt the glass, it has to be done in a kiln where the heat will remain consistent and it will heat slowly. It also has to cool slowly, so it must be enclosed while firing and while cooling because of breakage.

Probably could be done with a torch and extra long arms and tongs and protective glasses on a hot day, but I wouldn't want to attempt it.

Thanks Sharon. I think it's so creative the way they did those. I think they did it so it wouldn't rain so much in them and fill the bottles with water. I was hoping to find these for sale. I can't find bottles with the rounded bottom. I'd be happy if I could just find blue bottles that look similar...tall, blue.

I'll bet those were made by a glass blower, though I do have a green rounded bottom bottle that something came in. No stretching on it, though.
