Jan you are correct most need to keep potted and bring in in winter. I live in the orlando area I leave mine out all year BUT bring in when they call for frost and freeze. I am looking at getting them from Thailand and there are so many kinds the problem is min order and most the doubles are at-least a 60 -90 day wait to get them. The regular ones don't take that long. min orders on most of the hybrids are 100 per case. the older 2-3 or 4-5 yo branched are 20-25 per case. they would be coming from the same company in Thailand that we got our grafted plumeria in last co-op BUT im getting all the info BEFORE opening the co-op no confusions this time.
This is a pic of sisters bloom

I am interest in all of the ones you listed but can you explain to me why they are grafted? I noticed on e-bay all of the Thai ones say they are grafted but I really see that with the ones I have bought locally.

to get a true identical plant you cannot raise from seed if there is any other pollen around due to cross pollination. if they cross pollinate the ones grown from seed can look different. So most growers are growing and selling different ones. they take a small one grown from seed. and then take a cutting of the one (like the purple) "mother plants" and graft to the small one grown from seed. then you know its going to grow to look like the mother plant and they know that it will be a purple one or what ever the mother plant looks like.

OK EVERYONE IF YOU NEED TO GET A HOLD OF ME HIT ME UP HERE OR AT PRIVET EMAIL ....I HAVE BEEN BAND FROM DG!!!

HERE IS A COPY OF THE EMAIL THEY SENT FEEL FREE TO PASS IT ALONG......

"Dear Mike,

You recently sent out about 40 dmails to promote your new website, AllThingsPlants.com

While we wish you success on your new site and endeavours, our site rules are very clear: http://davesgarden.com/aboutus...

“5. We hate spam, and so do our members. You may not utilize the service to create business opportunities without contacting us first and getting permission. Members are restricted from utilizing the DG services for self-promotion of themselves, their website, or their organization, or to solicit items or monies for charities or fundraisers. This includes, but is not limited to, advertising products or services in any communication medium such as the forums and the member E-mail system. As of July 6, 2006, members may promote their ventures in our classified advertising area. Non-vendor members may organize group purchases ("co-ops") only in the forum made for this purpose. Vendors of live gardening-related materials are expressly prohibited from organizing co-ops.”

We have been over these rules with you before: we do not allow members to use our forums or dmail to promote their own website or to steer people to another site, whether it is personal or for profit. Further, we do not permit vendors to organize their own co-ops on our site.

Since we made our position to you very clear last April, and you agreed to abide by the site rules, we were disappointed to be informed you had once again engaged in spamming your fellow members. We feel we have no choice but to terminate your account due to your repeated abuse of your membership privileges.

Regards,

Terry

You may not be making money but they are losing money if this website gets bigger than them. And it will, since there are no subscription fees and lots of sharing of info. Obviously they are threatened. Holding on tight and being nasty doesn't work well on the internet......

Hate to say it, but I'll pass. I would get a seedling but I would want to pick a specific one. Also October can be very cold here.
