I see the 2012 seed program is open to participating doners and open to 'view and planning' for non doners..

Lucky you! I'm making plans. I see your cross in my favorite Division; hope I can get some of 'em. Good Luck with shopping!

I think T.I. X S-6 is the only trumpet cross I donated. So far I have found that crosses of my pink edged yellow/melon lilies produce similar colored lilies.

I saw photos you posted last summer--all of them are beautiful. I've got to look at them again tonight. Did you freeze any pollen?

http://www.lilies.org/mainhtml...

They used to open it to the general non-member public after a period of time. I don't know if they still do that.... at least I don't see that information on the site.

Even if you are not interested in buying seeds, you can click on each division and see photos of many wonderful parent lilies, many of which are hybridizers' seedlings and not commercially available. To me that makes them even more interesting.

I ordered some Division 6 seed. When I look at the seed program as a whole, I think it is very educational; it gives everyone an opportunity to broaden their knowledge base on lilium. And its informative as well. I think Michael Homick and Paul Machado deserve an awful lot of credit and appreciation for their work in coordinating such a well put together program!

I didn't order the dark purples, but maybe next year if there are some left at half price.

What I ordered, pretty much in line with my current interests:

If i was allowed in there,it would be like a child in a candystore!!- no Connie, you''reserved yourself''-well done,..,Funny, -today, im shaking all the Davidii crosses into seed packets, lifting requested bulbs, moving seedling boxes to get the best day /sun and generally cleaning up, and you all are waiting for ''blooming time'',.,.----Im jealous

I think I came in just two selections shy of Connie. I went back into the archives for a few also. I'll probably order a couple more in May---depending on what I get (or don't get) this first round. Maybe that # 162 you mentioned Anthony (it might be more to it than at first glance). All of my first order was within Division 6; my second smaller list will go into Div.1 and Div.8.

Have a Happy Easter Sunday, Everybody!

Shannon, Its my understanding that you have to be a member to participate in the seed program. Annual membership is $20.00. In my book, that's a real nice bargain, considering all you get throughout year for belonging--especially if you're into lilium. Check out: www.lilies.org brouse around the site and see what you think.
