I'm not a member of this society but I went to the plant sale they had in a near by town. I bought some sedum from Phoas Farms located in Sequim. She only does a few sales and a farmers market in Port Townsend, WA.

Some little ones. They have no names but I don't care. She knew what they were.

Hurray! Spring, what an exciting plant sale that must have been. I am drooling over your selection. That crested sedum is fascinating, to say the least.
A beautiful Harvest Moon plant. Your going to love your Fuego, be sure to give it plenty of room and full sun for best size and color.
Your little Sedum spathulifolium looks like it might be S. spathulifolium 'Carnea'.

What a wonderful bunch of new plants.

Oh lucky you!
Where was the sale?
Phocas farms have great plants don't they? Jim comes down to Ballard in Seattle every Sunday for the farmers market. I can't leave without something .... or four. I have always wanted to go to the Port Townsend market. That is such a pretty town.
Great selections!

I love the town of Port Townsend. We used to go there all the time when we lived outside Poulsbo, in the Big Valley.

Only been to Port Townsend once and last year was the first time in Poulsbo. I went to the Bloedel Reserve Plant Sale. Beautiful gardens there and a great plant sale. Then we shopped and ate lunch at Poulsbo. I have lived here in WA all my life but seen to go to the same places all the time, guess time to branch out.

Sherri, do you by the saffron or plants?

The society had a plant sale at the Holiday Inn, Everett. Funny they had plastic covering all the carpet. Very nice and warm for shopping. The plants from Phocas Farms are nice. She said if I wanted to come to her place I would have to call and make an appointment. Her hubby grows and sells Saffron. She knew a lot about sedums, very impressed.
so fun to go to different plant sales because many times the smaller nuseries are there and the selection is good.

I bought the saffron last year. Sounds like it was a bad year, don't think he is selling much more than to just his restaurant contacts here in Seattle, maybe the rest goes to Port Townsend. Dearest husband used the whole $15. dollar bag in one little rice dish....... it certainly was a striking yellow...... oh well.
I buy plants, I'm trying to increase my named ones, but I can't resist the little two dollar no name kids. I'm looking forward to taking pics soon, the same dear husband is helping me with that, so we'll see.
I would love to see their farm. Jim is a hoot. Dark blue hoodie, sunglasses, white sunblock and a skinny silver gray long beard braided in two. Ballard does not quite know what to make of him, but his plants are great. I would love to meet his wife.

She was sooo nice! Knew the names of all the 2.00 plants. I was going to ask her to label mine but she got busy with others. I don't realy care about names but if you trade the name is a must.
The bigger ones are labeled! I just think garden people are great, no hoyty toyty stuff, just good people and willing to share what they know!

All of those will take off growing this growing season. I would only put about four of them in that pot, especially if you are going to add some decorative pieces of rock.

I planted this one in March of 2010

Ok, thanks. I will rework the plants! Think I should put those tall ones, in the back of the pot, in the ground with my other up rights. Think they will get big like Jaws, autumn charm ect?

What are the names of them Spring. I see maybe one, the light color green one that might get tall. The others won't, they are lower growing types. : )

They were not named so I be guessing. I did ask her to help me find some taller growing ones. It will be fun to see. I took the three in the back out, put the crested one in the back and pulled a few of the front ones. I'm going to sleep on the grouping see what I think in the AM. Need to look around for rocks or something to put in there too.
