I have been so busy this sping/early summer that I have not posted a single picture of my irises! So, so sorry--you all are such a supportive group and give such great advice and are SUCH AMAZING enablers that I feel absolutely guilty for not getting them out here. I did manage to take pics along the way and think I have them all labeled so--my entire iris bloom season in a single (or a couple when it won't let me add any more pics) post!

Not a very informative way to post blooms, I promise I'll try to post more as they bloom next spring. I found myself overwhelmed this year, working more than normal then dealing with weeding, watering and volunteering at EIS... How do you all keep up? Think I need to be retired NOW....
On a few of the pics you can see evidence of the nasty hail storm we had in mid May. It absolutely shredded my peonies, had the worst bloom year I think I've ever had, and did a number on several irises as well. I was pretty happy that I had as many blooms as I did considering that storm and that 99% of the irises were completely new to my garden or divided last summer. I don't think any that I divided bloomed at all but all except 1 variety survived.
Liz what a beautiful collection! Thanks for sharing Love American maid, heart of hearts, back on stage, insainiac, Man's best friend.....etcetera....etc. ok, ok, all of them!
Beautiful colors! I am only about 25 miles from you, Liz, and I am just getting ready to plant irises for the first time, so it is nice to see what yours look like.
How did your garden fare this week with the hail storms?
Hi Keysfens, welcome to the forum! That last hail storm completely missed us, wish I could say the same of the ones in May! I have been planting pretty much non stop the last couple of weeks....not all for me, though. After the EIS sale we tilled the beds that were divided for the sale, added a couple of truck loads of compost and replanted.....didn't think we'd EVER get done! Then I came home and started planting mine, still have around 100 in boxes ready to plant. I get Friday and Saturday morning in the garden because of commitments (one being my own 28th wedding anniversary!) and probably most of the day Sunday, need to weed as well and prepare for around 60 new peonies coming in Sept/Oct.....getting tired just thinking about it but it'll be worth it next spring!
