Beautiful peonies everyone. Here is a few I took in the last week. Don't you just love those peoneis! Many of my peonies are still in bud stage. Let's see more of someones elses pictures. We also had many night with temperatures dipping back down to low 30's in April.

My Joseph Rock Double came from Klehm's. The single is supposed to be a great parent for hybridizing, but seeing as I like doubles more, or at least I tend to, I decided to go with the double.

Very nice blooms for you Ticker. Is RPBY really nice and yellow? Does it hold the color well? It's quite striking in your picture. It's one I have thought about often, but not yet bit on.

Mags, yeah, it's nice. It kind of got smacked around by all the rain, wind and freezes and this is it's second full year in the ground, so I hope it will only get better from here. Mine are just beginning to pop, so.... There should be lots more in the next week or so....

Doglover, Tracey, Diann - wonderful photos Hurray!

I have mostly doubles, but after seeing all the lovely singles here, I am very tempted to get some of those. Only problem is I am fast running out of room in my garden.

I never cared much for the singles until I showed up here and Ticker showed all of her beauties. They really are nice in their own right.

Doglover, lovely blooms for you today. So precious are those blooms. Thumbs up

Dianne. Diann and Tracy thank you for the compliments. I too never thought I would want a single peony till several years ago. I saw some pictures of many differnt singles in an article featuring someones garden in a magazine at the doctors office, wrote them down and just had to have them. Especially the pale yellows and apricots. Will add more later.

Doglover, One can get very attached to singles. I think the majority of my collection are singles or Japanese style. I am getting into more tree peonies now though. Oh heck, who am I kidding, I collect them all. Smiling LOL Who all do you have??

Ticker: It is addicting isn't it. Only problem collecting peonies is that they take up so much more room than lets say iris. I only live on 1 acre and wished I had more room. I have many named, but need to track down their locations and tags and try to be sure to get new pictures this year. A lot of my peonies from last year are on my old computer and trying to recover lost files. The crazy weather we have experienced has many of the peonies not wanting to put out a bud or only 1 bud. My Soft Apricot Kisses has not bloomed and should have bloomed the same time as Soft lemon Kisses and Roy Phearson Best Yellow. Will find a picture of Soft Apricot Kisses from last year if anyone would like to see it.

I use to favor the bomb types, but as you say, oh heck. Love them all. My Red Grace is budding and blooming along our driveway. Here is todays picture, unfortunatley can not seem to capture that intense red color. Just does not do the plant justice. Will look for more pictures to share. Now let's see some other folks peonies. Hope I can keep up with all of you folks with pictures, I never thought I would have to mark all my peonies, but I will search tags tomorrow and watch for new blooms. Fun sharing. Nice site.

The corals are some of my most favorite peonies. I adore that color. My 'Pink Hawaiian Coral' should be opening soon, with some others. Yesterday we finally reached 70 and I finally feel like we could be in the right time of year. Though confusingly eough, I have a clematis 'Niobe' that usually doesn't bloom until June, blooming right now. The strange weather has certainly effected things in different ways.

Yeah, they take up a bit more rooms than Iris, but they also don't need dividing every other year like Iris, either. Smiling I'll be waiting to see what other pictures you post. Smiling True reds and blues are hard to get pictures of, at least, they are for me. I think one needs a cloudy day for the reds and I'm not sure what you can do for the blue photos.

Tracey, Tracey, Tracey, you have some of the best peonies I've ever seen. I can't wait for you to start posting your pictures in force. Smiling

You must have some in bloom now Diann. I went out yesterday in the midst of doing a ton of weeding (yet again) to get a few photos:
Here are some 'Pink Hawaiian Coral' in different stages. I do adore this one so very much.

I think this is 'Hesphestos' but the tage was so buried underneath all of the blooms that I could not see it.
