I am growing scads or dwarf monkey grass in the shade, under a tree where grass won't grow. It is soft, easy, no mowing and evergreen. A mole tunneled under one area 2 summers ago and I am STILL having trouble getting it to grow in the bare spots the mole made! Other places it is lush and soft but that tunneled area is barren. I have added topsoil, and Scott's Moisture Control dressing of sorts. NO help. It just dissappears. Hints? Suggestions?

Have you tried clover? It is also a easy ground cover and it is evergreen and does not need mowing. (white dutch clover).

Thanks, clover would be nice but I have a great deal of monkey grass already i place. I would just like it to grow in the blank spots but it refuses. I have deep watered it lately. Maybe there is a giant tree root underneath stealing water? IDK?
