The Luffa operculata is the round luffa, sometimes called "Wild cucumber".

Has anyone grown this? We'd like to give it a try but are having a hard time finding seed!!!

I have not grown them, but I remember that one of the places I buy seeds has had them in their catalog. If you go to this link, there is one place to click for seed - the rest are products made from luffa. The don't give the scientific name though...???
