Got another tiny cutie blooming today, a new one for me, Gingerbread Trim.

And this purple, not a dwarf, was one that came with this property, originally planted by an English couple that lived here and according to the neighbors, they had a wonderful English garden. What remains are these iris, 3 roses, a birdbath and cute little stone bunny, special things to me. Lovey dubby

Such fantastic little cuties! My little ones are all blooming too, but I just haven't had time to post pictures yet. Maybe this afternoon...

Forever Blue started blooming in my garden yesterday, nearly a month early. I never would have believed a bearded iris would bloom here in March. It's not unusual to have a blizzard this time of year. When we have late springs, it usually results in a short bloom season so I'm hoping an early spring will result in a long bloom season. We'll see

I just love the blue beards.
We have had 14 inch snowfall in March 26 1954. Everyone agrees the weather this year is strange.

all you have to do is look at most of the pictures on the webpage to see the medians always have a lot of water drops . We have flooding up here but we are aways away from the big rivers all we get is a river on our driveway....some day we might have sun but we are going to be behind again

Sweet! My Nut Ruffles has been blooming for about a week, but the rain is wrecking the blooms. It's not even worth taking a picture.

Now if the wind would just blow the snails off them, I could take some nice photos. The snails are eating everything -- blooms, buds, leaves, etc.

They are decimating all my aeoniums, I went out on a hunt the other evening and couldn't believe how many I pulled off. Ugh!

Pulling them off would take me a week, and by then the first ones would be covered with them again. I sprinkled a fortune's worth of Sluggo last week, covering the whole half-acre. I shudder to think what I'd see now if it hadn't killed as many as it did. I can't use saucers of beer to catch them because the cats would drink it. Green Grin!

I now use Deadline, and my cats (I have seven, plus a stray that I feed) totally leave it alone. Late yesterday afternoon I ran a line around one of my daylily beds that was showing snail/slug damage, and you should see all the snail and slug corpses I have out there today! Probably 50-60 at minimum! Some of them even died right at the plants after they gorged themselves on the Deadline first. The dark charcoal line you draw around a plant or flower bed isn't very attractive, I'll admit, but both my sister and I swear by Deadline now. Sluggo didn't seem to work very well for me at all. And the Deadline continues to kill them for probably at least a month even after the sprinklers have run every day too.
