Gardening Kneeling Pad Care

By mcash70
March 23, 2012

If you have a favorite garden kneeling pad, as I do, and you want to keep it clean when working in wet or muddy areas, just slip it into a kitchen catcher with tabs and secure the ends so that it doesn't slip out.

I'm joining your club, Ladies. I've never heard of a kitchen catcher either. It just looks like a plastic bag, maybe the kind you use to line your kitchen garbage can?

Looks like a trash bag to me, too! Kitchen catcher sounds much more classy, tho! Hilarious!

You are not stupid, we just have different names for things at times is all. Whistling It is a medium size trash/garbage bag with tie tabs that fits the average kitchen trash/garbage bin/can like the one under your sink, hence the name "kitchen catchers". Big Grin

That's the problem with common names: regional synonyms.

The "proper" bionomial name in Linnaean taxonomy is:

Family Polyethyleneace
Culina saccus tallii var "Glad"

Never heard of a kitchen catcher either . Blinking Once you explained it Margaret I can see where that would be a very good idea if I used a kneeling pad. Rolling my eyes.

I think giving both "talli" and "var Glad" is actually redundant or contradictory, but I didn't want to give either one up!

But I'm being a good boy in that I won;t try to submit a database entry for Genus "Culina" .

We already have two genuses with similar names:
Cullen
Cunila

I didn't mis-spell "Cunila" , "Culina" was the closest I could get to "kitchen")

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing A person can get so used to what things are called/named in their zone, it never dawns on them that others may not know what the heck they are talking about. Being a member of ATP is so informative and mind broadening, I love it. Thumbs up

Linda, I doubt that you have muddy situations too often!! Hilarious!

Since Glad makes 4 different varieties of kitchen bags, I don't think "talli" is redundant.
