I have never actually seen lily flowering tulips in person myself, only pictures. They do look pretty.

Something strange came up beside this daylily. Can you guess what it is??? Well it is a stalk of asparagus, much to my surprise because I have no asparagus growing in my veggie garden.

That is the first picture I have seen of checkered tulips in
a garden. They really do look like the pictures in the
catalogs. Unusual, but very pretty.

Love your color changing tulip, very pretty. Especially in the later picture. Somehow I thought they might be SHIRLEY but Scheepers said it opens yellow, not white like yours.

I think that is it and it did have a yellow tint to it. I think someone else last year told me it was Shirley also. Thanks for reminding me.

SHIRLEY is a very pretty tulip and popular also. I should get some myself.

That's what I thought it was when I saw the orchid purple tipping on it.
You know one with the name Shirley would stick in my mind.

I can thank the bees for the different colors. Never had so many different colors when I first started out many years ago.

How beautiful those columbines are. They seem to like some places and not others, so they never stick around here.

They belong in a fairy garden as they are magical!
