It really has been a strange winter. No snow and overly warm winter here. Daffs started very early here also.

Same here. Things are quite early and no winter at all, it seemed.

Yes things are blooming earlier for me in my zone 5b. I never had hyacinth and daffodils blooming before mid-April before as well as the forsythia and hellebores. It got to 80ยบ here a couple of times I planted a Weeping Cherry last May and it is full bloom now also. I think my magnolia is even going to grace me with flowers this year. Sure looks like white buds on there. I planted in June of last year a Flowering Quince 'Texas Scarlet' and it has reddish orange buds forming. I won't complain. I love the colors I am seeing now.......

Just a few of what I am seeing here.

It's been planted for probably a dozen years, give or take. I wanted to shape it a bit as it grew, but mom wanted it to grow up as fast as possible. It did. Hilarious!

I like it in front of the dark evergreens, otherwise those light-colored blooms might fade away into the sky.

What pretty pictures.

I don't have that much blooming this early, and what has bloomed hardly lasted any time at all in the unusual heat. My weeping cherry was beautiful- for 2 days. Crocus lasted about 2 days too. Temps were in the mid 80s, and I guess it was just too hot for them.

Cooler air came back Thursday- complete with storms. With the flower petals flying - mostly from all the Bradford pears in the area- it looked more like snow than rain. The tree flowers will likely be gone (from all the rain and wind) today or tomorrow . And the pollen counts have been astronomical.

The Bradford Pear trees are disappearing in this neighborhood. I think the developer planted 1 on eash lot. They have rotted in the past 20 years and now come crashing down on cars in driveways and in peoples lawns. Neighbor across the street was comming home after a party and his tree split in half just as he walked up his driveway. It missed him and gave us firewood for last winter.

This pear, 'Cleveland Select', seems to be a pretty nice cultivar. Its crotch branching seems to be better than Bradford, and its blooms are lovely. Ours is very young yet - this is its first year for flowers. Smiling

Ack! - poison ivy. I use two sticks together like chopsticks to pull those...I'm afraid of it. Hilarious! Whistling

Bradford Pear is very weak tree, When a storm comes it tears them up. Cleveland pear is much better. Thumbs up Love the flowers on that Cleveland Select, love the vinca also. Lovey dubby
