I started out with the named hybrids and came late to loving the species type sempervivum. There is a beautiful simplicity to them.
I have been learning that about many bulb type plants in the last year, from you.

And I really feel in love with your sempervivum Lynn but I am not learning as fast as you do!

I think you are learning very quickly Catherine.
I have been so busy adding to the database here that I have neglected by learning of species bulbs. Soon some of mine will start blooming and I will be on the trail of learning again.

Ooooh, my favorite is Tulipa humilis 'Albocaerulea Oculata'
What a beauty with it's purple center.

This one is really beautiful Lynn and you buy just one bulb if you get it. I have been amazed by T. Regelii, the only tulip to have such a foliage.

I got this wonderful species (Sempervivum tectorum costigliole, piemonte mts, italy) from Mesa Garden in New Mexico. They have the most amazing plants when looking for species type succulents. I got this semp from them last year. It is quickly turning into one of my favorite sempervivum.

Running far for your beauties Lynn. They worht it and you know how to enhance these little treasures.
