My veggie garden is about 16 X25 feet and I cram as much as I can in there. Other than the tomatoes, I direct seed everything else. Peas, beans, lettuce, potatoes, cucumbers etc

Joanne, I have a really small v. garden 9 X 9. I'm the veggie eater in the home, hubby just not that interested.
My tomatoes I grow in containers along the driveway which leaves room in the veggie garden for peas, beans, and squash, or whatever I fell like growing.

I have started my cukes and some squash seeds in the Wall o' Waters they sure give you a head start don't they.

I like your veggie garden Joanne! Very lush and full like it should be!

I have 2 large tubs in the backyard that I just direct seeded one with 'Plum Purple' radish seeds and the other with Mesculn Mixed greens! I'm so thrilled to be back outside again! Its supposed to go up to 10C on sunday!

I only grow tomatoes. It's just my husband and me at home now, and he's not too fond of vegetables. He's the carnivore. But we did build 2 new raised tomato beds last fall.

I only grew a few tomatoes in containers on my patio when I lived in town, in addition to assorted flowers in the beds alongside my apartment.

Then I bought a mobile home and moved to the country. Now I have a raised bed (57' x 3'), a driveway with assorted containers and assorted flowers (most recently, I planted a row of beautyberry seedlings).

This year, that raised bed is growing a watermelon patch again and all my containers are sitting idle while I focus my efforts on convalescence.

Next year, I'll be able to resume my vegetable gardening: I've already planned when, where and how to grow: watermelons, tomatoes, yellow crook neck summer squash, burpless cucumbers, snap green beans and, of course, more assorted flowers: marigolds, nasturtiums and maybe sunflowers!

I'm surrounded on 3 sides by apple orchards and I am a VERY small vegetable grower!!

My garden is smaller than yours. It's only 9x15. I'd love a bigger garden but small makes for interesting experiments. I've got 12 indeterminate tomatoes, 10 peppers, 12 Bush green beans, 2 zucchini, and a few potted herbs. Trying to figure out if there's room for any carrots. I've got carrots in a pot, 2 dwarf blueberry bushes in pots, a bed of strawberries at the base of my black raspberry plants, and 2 small raised beds for strawberries.

That's exactly the kind of garden I'd love. Productive but attractive and manageable.
