I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Cut Flowers Winter Sowing Charter ATP Member Seed Starter Echinacea

I wintersowed these last year. I have 4 or 5 emerging now. They're growing fast! about 5" tall now. Should they be pinched? and if so, when? I'd like to keep them shorter, stocker if possible- they'd have a better chance in our windy spot.

I didn't know .. but looked it up.. this page says pinch at 9 leaves

We'll see. I wintersowed mine last year so haven't seen it bloom yet.

I have wintersown annual ones in the past but not the perennials.
