Here are the three semp varieties that seem to have rot problems the end of winter into early spring. It is pretty much a nonstop rainy season for us. i must say though that once the rains end and I clean these semps up, they bounce right back and grow into lovely plants again. But this process does repeat itself every year.
Not a bad record for how hardy these plants are, only three varieties out of 350 different varieties of semps and Jovibarba. : )

The Monstrose form of Fame Monstrose is very susceptible to rot if the roots get disturbed, so requires extra attention when transplanting or shipping. It responds well, however, to drying it out and removing dead leaves, then growing very dry for a month or two.

My Pink Pearl does not like our wet winters. I put the pot of them in the garage over last winter and they did beautifully.

I lost my 'Lavender and Old Lace' to rot this year. I had it in a pot that ended up under snow cover.
