Sue, great photo. Has it ever bloomed for you before? What is the plant growing with it?

Oh yes, several times. I have had this tough little plant for years, I break off pieces here and there and pop them into other pots and bed edges. It does not seem to be affected but the occasional frosts like other more sensitive succulents. I like the colors too, it seems to always have some olivey yellow and lavender tones to it.
The one planted next to it is a Senecio kleiniaeformis.

And the Senecio, how much cold can it handle?
I left my Graptopetalum paraguayense on our covered deck this winter. It got down into the teens a few time. I think keeping it from moisture during our winter is why it did great. I love this plant.

I have had the senecio for years too and we had a colder winter here at the new house than what it's been used to, did great. No signs of damage. I left everything out, no pampering. If it survived, great. If not, oh well, I have another plant to takes it's place.
I do have an overhang front porch and all my cane begonias were left out there, some lost their leaves but all should recover with warmer weather and fertilizer.

What were you winter temperatures like this year Sue? And do they get a lot of rain where the containers sit?

Yes, lots of rain, pouring like crazy right now. Average about 40 inches a year. I do have to monitor the pots and make sure they are draining alright.
Some of my aeoniums look pretty ratty from frost but they will put our fresh leaves. The ones that look real bad will just get tossed.
It can get down to the high 20's for a few hours during the night but not for too long on average.

I guess we get colder weather than you do. I have found I can winter many of the tender succulents outdoors over winter if I keep the rain off of them. It's the combination of extended freezing and wet that does them in here.
I think I will try the senecio and see if it will survive winter here. : )
