This is a pretty neat new feature: you can now view all your past proposals from your profile.

Go to the "Profile" tab and scroll down to the Plant Database contributions box. In there, you will see that the count for data proposals and misc proposals are now clickable links. If you click on them, you can see your full history of proposals.

You can also go to someone else's profile to see their various proposals, as well.

This is a great feature, Dave!!

On the Databox update proposals, it looks like the current and original are the same for ones that were newly added Daffodils, where originally there was NO data because the plant is new?

So you can not really see that that particular databox update added all the data for the plant, correct?

Dave,

On the databox updates, is there a way to show the blank data that was originally in place on these proposals for new plant data, so it reflects what was actually submitted?

As it is, it just makes it impossible to see what was actually done here.

No, that information is not stored. All that is stored is what the state of the proposal was, and that proposal picks up where previous databox entries had already been made.

It sounds like you're trying to track something down?

No, not trying to do that.
I was just thinking that you CAN see when updates of fields are done, it is just when the daffodil specific info is entered, where there had been none previously, that it is not shown, that there had been none..

Here is a proposal for a new Daffodil, updating the databox, which I have left in the queue.

Dave, if you approve it and look at the data proposal before and then after the approval, where we view them on our profile page,

it does not show the same information in the tracking of this proposal.

Yeah the "Current original" is the current state of the plant. After the proposal is approved, the current state will reflect the data of the most recently submitted proposal.

Thanks for the confirmation, Dave.

I think I understand. So this isn't a way to see what the proposal actually was? Is that correct?

No, it shows the actual proposal but it shouldn't be compared with the "Current original" since that changes all the time.

What shows on the left side is the entire databox proposal that the user submitted, which may or may not have included changes.

So from our profile page, looking at the 2 side by side database propsals, we can't actually tell exactly what those changes were since they now look the same, correct?

That's right. I'm not storing the state of the databox from before the proposal was made, so I have nothing to compare it to.

Maybe this is too confusing. I can disable this feature if it's a problem.
