Well, I guess no one wanted to start an April Chat, so I'm gonna! LOL!! Today's been a cold crappy day after weeks & weeks of glorious beautiful DRY weather. So let's all hope that this year will be a gorgeous one for lots of blooms!

I won't have any rose photos to share for another six weeks at least, so I thought I'd share pictures of something else that's growing at our house - our new puppy "Sprite" (as in a mischievous little gremlin, not the soft drink).

The fourth photo is so human that it's posiively eerie.

Snow and puppies. What a start to April. No snow here. And the weather is nice even though it will be a long time till rose buds show.


Forcythia looks great today.



Some daffs here haven't even bloomed yet.



While others are still going strong.



One of the small leafed rhodos I have around here almost ready to bloom.



Darwin tulips here from last year not quite ready to bloom yet.

No roses yet bud buds everywhere and some great new bronze growth, my favorite time of year!

Poppies are popping up everywhere! This was a darker than the other ones here, a bit more reddish than the normal solid orange as shown in the edges.


My sedum clay pipes are overflowing, I am pinching a few pieces to put in other spots too.


My new physocarpus Dart's Gold, just planted it last week.


One of my favorite plants, Euphorbia characias 'Tasmanian Tiger', planted from a 4" pot last summer, seems quite happy here.

I forgot I wanted to comment on Sprite Mike! What a gorgeous dog, those eyes, just stunning! She looks like a sweet pup! My granddaughter loved her photos!
