I'm confused.

When I do a search for Hibiscus rosa-sinensis I get these two Hibiscus syriacus: http://garden.org/plants/searc...

But when I search for Tropical Hibiscus I get the complete list of H. rosa-sinensis: http://garden.org/plants/searc...

What am I doing wrong? Has something changed while I've been away the past couple of weeks ... or have I just forgotten how to do a search? which wouldn't surprise me. Green Grin!

It seems that the minus sign is negating everything that comes after it.

So a search for Hibiscus rosa-sinensis is basically saying, "show me everything that has Hibiscus and Rosa in the name, but not sinensis.

If you search for Hibiscus rosa sinensis (without the dash) the search works fine.

I'll need to find a solution to this.

Yes, that pops up often for me when a cultivar name has that minus sign, I have to remember to remove it first before searching but not everyone knows that.
