Well I'm a few hours early for February, but I thought I'd try a forum and this is the first thing that came to mind! My barn is so full of flowers today. A great way to start the month. Especially with Bc. Little Stars filling the night with scent. I think I may have to bring it into my living space so I won't miss a single molecule!!

I am happy to play along! My funny little Sigmatostalix unguiculata is blooming happily right now.

Thanks.
If you love the scent of Anise with a touch of Vanilla you will love the Dendrochilum glumaceum with its graceful dangling spikes.

Wow. I want them both!!!!! Great photos too you guys. Anise????? Yummy.
I'm going to play on both websites. I always take too many pics anyway. (Excuse me, I moved Bc. Little Stars next to my computer and was temporarily transported to a heavenly state.) Where was I? Oh yeah. I figure I can post some pics here and some pics there. Some folks seem confused but lots of people are posting on both websites.
I got this at HD today. Just couldn't resist the pale yellow. Put it in clay and sponge rock and threw out the spagnum which was beginning to rot the roots. Hope it deals well with the shock.

Great photo's everyone! Loving the blooms.

boo: That Cym is to die for. I see the small pic's and click on them and WOW! Even more amazing when you see the larger view!

Ursula: I would have never known that Dendrochilum was an orchid, so different looking, but really nice. I like the growth habit and those dangling blooms. And, the scent sounds awesome ... I love Vanilla and I bet the combination of Anise and Vanilla is really nice.

Todd: That is a stunning photo of D. Rainbow Dance ... gorgeous!

Yeah, I've been lurking at DG a bit too, but not posting much, mostly d-mailing people to see if they want an invite here! I see there are now more than 200 of us over here. Smiling

I just noticed that everyone but me has a little orchid for their ID photo. I'm not trying to be a wise guy, I just thought that is what the sign-up thingy wanted. I'll go back and change it.

Funny I was thinking maybe I should find a pic of myself and change my avatar. I think as with other social media websites, you can change the avatar anytime you want! So have fun!
