They are both wonderful plants, Ursula! My jumellea is just a sprig! I'll have to see if the longer days have triggered any buds. It hasn't bloomed for a while.

Here's Cymbidium Eastern Morning 'Shunshoku' today. Yet another green and red cym. Could we say my fav combo??

The flower. I noticed these "Eastern" hybrids on the Japanese Orchid Show pics a few years ago. So I was pleased to find one from Piping Rock. The flowers are small. Cym. goeringii x lowianum.

The flower is distorted on my finally opened Laelia lundii x Epi. longipetalum. It lived in the cold room where the mice were so I wondered if it were chewed on, but the mice are not that delicate in their eating habits and would have chewed the whole thing off. Besides I got rid of 2 fat mice and see no sign of others so far.
The plant. The pot is 2".

I have a few more buds so I'll see how it goes. Here are the pics from last bloom for comparison.

Thought I post my Vanda David Gardner. This is the keiki which I had separated from the mother plant a few years ago. The mother plant just finished blooming, the flowers were huge this Winter.
The blooms on the much smaller "baby" are almost mature now. They always take a couple of weeks to attain their full size from the time the buds open. Still, they are slightly smaller than its mother's.

OMG>>>>I'm in love with this one!
