To be clear- that's not to say that we won't, or that we aren't, of course, open to discussions on why we should implement it Smiling

Also, if someone asks you, do feel free to let me know so I can send acorns!
The welcoming committee either sends the acorns themselves, and I reimburse them, or they tell me about it, and I send them out. I'm happy to do with with the membership at large as well!

Or perhaps allowing each new member to choose one badge they are interested in, to get them started.

I think the badge idea for newcomers is great. I did find it a little more difficult to get started here than on daves garden because I think it's harder to see posts from people with no acorns, may of my posts went unnoticed at first. When I say hey don't ignore me Hetty felt sorry for me and gave me acorns. I felt so welcome and included after that.

Check out the Cacti/Tender Succulent Forum and of course don't forget to come see us at the Sempervivum Forum and The Sedum Forum. Lots of interesting ideas in the Container Forum also.

Thank you for giving Christine that link Karen. Group hug

I'm sure you will be finding all kinds of Forums to start 'Watching'. Oh, before I forget, Boopaints (Becky) has an amazing Forum for Garden Art.

Okay, I have to stop now, because the entire site is full of most amazing things. Have fun discovering your favorite places. Hurray!
