Not really, other than tree mailing them. But you don't have to. I give so many thumbs and acorns to people that I'd be overwhelmed with thank yous if everyone sent me a thanks. I think the best advice I can give is to appreciate it silently and try to give them some thumbs later to return the favor.

I don't do FB either.
By favorite I mean I want to mark certain members so that I can easily find them. I'm at an age, when I can't remember my last thought as I am having it!

You could always bookmark the member's profile page. That would work, wouldn't it?

If you search Iris Shock and Iris Guise you get quite a few Iris with similar names.

Select the one that matches your plant from the list. Standard Dwarf Bearded Iris (Iris 'Shock'), Standard Dwarf Bearded Iris (Iris 'Guise').

To add to your list click on the blue box that says "Add this plant to your list" in the blue sidebar to the left of your screen.

I'll look into 'James Dickinson'.

I've added Louisiana Iris (Iris 'James Dickinson') to our database Leslie.

It's great to be a new member of ATP and I'd like to thank all of the authors of the warm welcome posts I've received. As a new member, I'd also like to thank Dave/Trish for the acorns (I've already given one away).

Next on the agenda for me is to gather some badges. If someone would be so kind as to explain how to get those badges it would be very much appreciated.

You can click on any badge that you see in any post and will be taken to a screen where you can select the option

» View and add other badges to your own account

Then just look down the list and select a badge.
Most badges are 5 acorns (I think the tomato badge is the only 10 acorn badge).
