Why yes it was from Lowe's, Laurel, of course it didn't have a tag..they had just finished unpacking them and I went through the whole flat picking the best one, the only one without a tag I'm sure! Now I've got to go back and steal someone elses tag! Whistling

It's Tol. Popoki 'Mitzi'. Whadaya expect for $6.95. Hilarious! Just make a tag from an old mini blind and find out when the next delivery is happening. These are bargains. I grabbed one in bud 'cause I knew the bloom. Some stores are getting a varietal assortment in a tray and some are getting only one variety. I've combed the city and know when the next deliveries are happening at three stores. I'm all ears!

What kind of gear do you wear to these places? For some reason I'm picturing a beekeepers outfit and a butterfly net.....

I'm with you Kathy, Carthartt jeans here! Although I do have a knock off LV bag and I'll be sure to bring it with me next time I'm stalking orchids in Atlanta!
They had 2 other varieties in the same tray, I guess I need to get off the computer and go rescue them from certain death.

DH is fond of his Carhartts but I prefer my Liberty "overhauls" for Maypop gardening.

Lindsey I like both the Tols. Did you get tags on these? Which ones are they? They are different than the ones in our store.

Here's the Oncidium I got when shopping with Hakarica (Jim) in Apopka, FL. It was blooming in a plug tray and I potted it there. That was early November.

We were just at Costco and they had loads of Cymbidiums of all colors for sale for 20 bucks. None seemed to have tags on them but these may have been buried inside the wrappings. I did not buy any being true to my promise not buy any more orchids for the time being. But mainly I didn't buy any because I doubt they will come back here in the hot south.

I caught a neat shot today. Take a look at my Lctna. Renate 'S & W'

Laurel, I picked up the missing 'Mitzi' tag , and the one with the white skirt has a tag onc. Jairak rainbow 'easter sunday'. The one with the polka dot skirt had no tag, was the last of it's kind and no loose tags floating around the tray. I read not to cut the spent flower spike as it will likely send a branch out...is
this your experience? I love the color on yours, that dark pink is really nice! The store was unpacking boxes of orchids while I was there, nothing but soaking wet sphagnum moss encapsulated root phalenopsis in Grumbling non-draining ceramic pots.
Fred your picture is incredible! I have never seen a red butterfly Thumbs up
