Hi, everyone.

I hate it when non-addicts pass disparaging judgements on my plants and their numbers. My wife of 35 years (a Saint walking this Earth) said something about my many adeniums the other day. We didn't raise our voices; we never do. However, I told her: "Have you any idea how many women on this planet would give anything so all they could complain about is that their husband has too many adeniums? Count your blessings, girl.". That closed the conversation in a neat and efficient way. Score: Adenium addict: 1, His wife: 0.

In my own opinion, I could be considered overdoing it when I plan to buy an acre of land just so I can grow my adeniums in peace. Then, she can write that quack Dr. Phil and go tell her sob story on national TV. As things stand now, she's got nothing, and she knows it. But, leave it to Phil to find fault with all that, give it a negative spin and pick it to death so she becomes the poster lady for Adenium Widows Without Borders... but i digress and for that, I am sorry.

A glorious Easter , or Passover to everyone reading this.
Sylvain.

Well I can tell you this,if I lived in Florida, or any other warm all year climate I would have as many Adeniums as I could get in the ground, I think they are an interesting plant so enjoy them, just don't make yourself ill taking care of them. Thumbs up Green Grin! Drooling

Very lovely plants you got there Shannon and Doris Hurray! Hurray!

If I have a lot of space indoors to overwinter adeniums, I would gladly care for more! Big Grin But for now, I am resisting the temptation to get another one, just caring for this one I got in 2010. So far surviving well and last winter only a few leaves fell indoors, so now sunbathing outdoors:

thats great if you can get it rooted you should have no problem with growing them....i say they are 80% same as Adeniums they are so much alike it is unbelievable. If you want to add to your collection of either im rooting about 150 plumeria cuttings now and will have about 100 adeniums for sale and seeds from both

keep it up i think you will get that plumie growing like crazy in about 3-4 weeks!!

Mike too bad you live so far away I would consider giving you one of my largest ones, I am running out of room in the winter, and know I must cut down with some of them, afraid my children do not love them as I do.and I keep planting more seeds. Hilarious!

I just love plants with interesting caudices Big Grin Can easily get away from the chores of watering..coz they got their huge storage already Big Grin The other ones I got are the Beucarnea recurvata. Hmmm..maybe I should consider getting a second Adenium..as a back-up..but maybe just give it awhile..my hubby is ready to hit the roof with my plant collection Rolling on the floor laughing
