Stinker! I got up early to start the thread for the month and you cheated! LOL! Oh well, some shots with the new camera. I can't take black background ones with the new camera since I cannot get close enough to the subject...it is a macro lens but you still have to be several feet from the flower and I generally hold the black board while I take the pic. Guess I'll have to keep the old camera for those specialty shots.

A NOID phal.

Not an orchid but I was pleased with the effect. It's a Leucocoryne

Holy smokes, when did all these posts happen? No fooling around here! Thumbs up

Kathy, you can write a new tag for your Enc cordigera x randii, it is registered as Encyclia Rioclarense. How is the scent?

Kathy, I just got a Enc. Rioclarense. Does it bloom more than once a year?

Don't know. I just bought it in bloom a week ago!
Thanks for the name, Ursula. I've been trying to look up x's more often since you posted the RHS link, but this one slipped by! I also know that you are a wiz at finding those new names!

The Enc. Rioclarense has a soft scent this afternoon.
My Den. aggregatum just arrived in spike (1). So I think we all have one now except Todd and Ken? Hilarious!

Todd, sorry to spoil your start of the month fun. I'm counting on you to start the April 2 thread. I think that my dark red purple Den. might be Garnet Jewel.

Wonders never cease! I pulled out my Den aggregatum to document the growth with the help of a ruler and to my delight found it just starting to spike!!
Laurel, this is for you. Smiling

And the plant - the growth to the left is the one I placed the ruler against.
