It is amazing how such large blossoms can come from such a quarter-sized bud. A great way to welcome Spring. Hope you enjoy your's as much as I enjoy mine when they bloom.

Looking good. Cross your fingers and hope the rain away. Our lousy temps have stalled all of mine except for 4 of the type similar to your 'Doreen'. I began with one and divided it over the years to have 4.

Glad you posted the pic since I never had any idea of the name for mine.

These are the 4 I have with the oldest being about 6 years old or so. It was under mulch until early Spring which made it grow and bloom more quickly than the others. It is in its last stages and is dropping blossoms. The faded colors are a result of my camera and lighting.

Jerry, we are getting close to some blooming here, but as the tree peonies just begin to open, the rain begins. It's like clockwork every year. Fernies are out as is 'Mollis', always my first two. Gotta get out and get some pictures when the rain passes.

Beautiful peonies. They are looking great!
