Honestly, I do think they pop up overnight. Hurray for scapes!

I think they can. I got 4 fans of Spc. Cotton Candy this week from Lyle and had some fat fans, well today it had 3 scapes so I took 2 off. They just came on so fast I could hardly believe it.

A N T I C I P A T I O N ! ! !

Went out on scape hunt this a.m. and nada but I do have quite a slugfest from storm last night, rabbits gnawed down a few more at nose level. and new vole holes Sometimes it's just better to stay in bed.

I am in zone 5. And just yesterday I found some scapes! Stella has a couple now, and also one that I received a couple of weeks ago - Westbourne Blackberry Cobbler. I hate to cut any scapes off it, because I want to see it! It is an EM.

I know my iris are 2-4 weeks ahead of schedule. I have purposely concentrated on late daylilies because I want blooms in August and September. But last year 90% of my lates bloomed in July (many were first year plants - so I forgave them) but this year, I am afraid I once again, am going to be all bloomed out by mid- August.

So the only hope I am holding out for late in the season reblooms. Last year I had one, but I had to keep it protected from the cold. But with a longer growing season this year, perhaps.... ~Jan

I have about 5 with scapes(not counting Stella) but I keep checking everyday too, lol.

I found scapes on BLACK EYED STELLA today. Honestly I looked two days ago and I swear they were not there!

I've got more and more scapes everyday. It's looking like I'll have an early daylily season. The last time it was early I had quite a bit of rebloom too. Last year everything was late and there were no rebloom scapes to be found.

Egyptian Queen graced me with 2 blooms today for their FFO. Haven't uploaded pics yet, too tired from working 2,11hr days in a row. I'll be real pooped out after this weekend. Memorial day weekend is like running a marathon at the pool store. We go non-stop from before open til after close. Lots of water tests, restocking, parts look ups and general pool trouble shooting. Thankfully have off on Monday, so may get to garden then

I can't wait to see your phots of EQ. I have always loved it but have yet to add it to my garden.
