Beautiful. Love those rain barrels.

Allison, I agree, about all I would do is make something that looked like an explosion in a paint factory! Even my painted flowers look wilted! Hilarious!

All the credit for the beauty & talent goes to Becky Boo (Boopaints) she did the artwork. I only supplied the tip. I'm like the rest of you --- "artistically challenged" Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

But I daresay I still would paint something on it. You can always claim you were going for Picasoesque. Hilarious!

Well, the least we can do is paint it a prettier solid color!

Absolutely! I agree Or you can just stand back with a paintbrush full of paint & "flick" different colors at the barrel.

Hey, if you're heavy into patriotic, it shouldn't be too hard to paint red, white & blue stripes.

C'mon guys --- get out there & try it! And like critter says; whatever you do has to look better than the color it comes in even if you paint it a solid color. Just make sure to use that paint that's for outdoor plastics.

How about using stencils? Then you just have to paint inside the lines.

OR... you could use stencils and paint OUTSIDE the lines, leaving the original color to be the picture Green Grin!

A pretty, new garden ornament! Love! the artwork, Becky.

My sister used to have quite a business painting galvanized garbage cans in the '60s and '70s. She created stencils of popular beer can labels (would probably be sued if she were continuing this business today) and painted the garbage cans to look like the labels, Coors, Bud, Heineken, etc. Sold the cans to fraternities at Stanford and San Jose State Univ. I think even in those days she charged $50 a piece. The frats used them during their parties for trash collection.

Mine are a rather bright blue, ugh. I love this idea! I'd much rather they be at least a nice forest green. Can I get this special paint at a big box store or a hardware store?
