Temperature was 30 degrees this morning, everything was very frosty and we had fog. The annuals survived but they look a little beat up. Hilarious!

Sometimes I just have to giggle. If you don't know what is going on in the tread it really could be misunderstood.

I find I often must go back several posts to see "what in the world are they talking about."

I hope none of us are looking too beat up, but this was a nasty summer here. Hope winter treats us a bit more kindly.

Wishing you all fair weather

Ha! We've wandered a bit far afield from the original post, haven't we? Hilarious! As usual. Just like herding cats.

We have freeze warnings for tonight, so Lord only knows what I'll have to deal with come morning. I've already dragged in a couple of things, but the rest are just going to have to take their chances. Weird weather. I look at photos I took around this date a couple of years ago and everything is lush and blooming like crazy. Not this year! Got off to a slow start and looks like it's going to be an early finish this year. sigh.
Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.

I looked back at Trish's original post asking for examples of vertical planting features, and think it has been answered well. Over 50 pictures of Vertical

Plantings/planters. I love using Dave's new slideshow to view them all easily. Hope she got enough for her needs.

Confused I'm tired so it might be obvious, but where is the slideshow? Did I miss something new?

Chelle, it's the way the images are now presented in a forum. You can read about it here:

The thread "New way of photo display in forums" in Site Talk forum

Wonderful feature, much like a slideshow of that particular thread.

A quick explanation from me would be:

Just click on any picture in a thread and then either click on the picture and another will pop up. You can keep going until you have seen them all, just click and view all the pictures on that post thread. Or keep going forever. Hilarious!

There is also an arrow at the bottom of the picture which allows you to see how many pictures there are and to move forward and back through the slideshow.

Sorry Sharon I did not think that thread explained it quickly. *Blush*

Allison, those vertical planters are beautiful! I'm surprised to see that some of you were getting freezing temps in September! We might be getting our first freeze tonight (forecast 27 degrees), but I walked the dogs a while ago and it didn't seem that cold. Did see a small herd of deer, though! It's that time of year here...

And it's probably time for me to bring in my vertical garden (the shutter), but I haven't yet. Hoping it's okay!
