Thanks, Ursula! A couple of the Phals just started dropping flowers. They HAVE been blooming for months, but it seemed to happen all at once. Took me aback.
Jim, love that Vanda....great color! And the Epi is a wonderful color combination.

That vanda is a foot tall and has two feet of roots hanging below. It is one of my smaller ones but I love the color. Vandas do very well here. Under the screen of the lanai, they take full sun. There is no potting mix and no root rot to worry about. They just hang from the screen roof supports and blow in the breeze. Perhaps the photo will give you some idea.

I got behind on this thread. So many amazing blooms already. The Paphs. are really growing on me since my first one opened. Helen Congleton and Lynleigh Koopowitz are both so nice.

Janice, don't you love BLC Pratum Green 'Bonserm'? Mine is still looking so pretty.

Ursula, that color on Darwinara Charm 'Blue Bird' is just gorgeous.

Jim, Bllra. Tahoma Glacier is striking with all those dots. Nice to have you here.

My Bulbo graveolens 'Mount Millais' is opening another nice group of buds in the cage. Now this one blooming OUTSIDE is a total different story compared to the tame opening of buds on the inside. Although the blooms don't stink, they are a magnet for flies, which seem to get stuck.

The Ascocentrum curvifolium is still blooming, although the spike on the right is pretty much done.

My Epi Mabel Kanda 'Green Leaf' started blooming while in the greenhouse and still keeps on going now outside on the deck.

All are beauties especially the bulbo and luteola. Talk about "to die for"..... Hilarious!
Mine are still inside till I conquer the weedy garden for the show here. I've now lost every bloom on my orchids, but outside there's such a visual feast that I'm not so depressed. Sigh! My poor plants and their many setbacks! There are a few buds though that haven't blasted. I also am overdue for my RO filters. Sure wish my back didn't go out yesterday (out where?)! I desperately need a helper this week. I plan on hurting myself for the next 2 days of weeding and deadheading. Can you tell what an insanely stubborn girl I am??
