I know this lily, it was the big rage a few years ago. The problem with it was that you wouldn't get the pink edging on the petals if it wasn't cool when it bloomed. I just can't think of the name.... Mags, where are you???? Mags would know... I think she has it too...

Boogie Woogie, but I'm not sure that is what it is. Has the Lily Garden carried B.W. in the past?

I don't think it's Boogie Woogie. I would contact The Lily Garden, also.

Just for referrence, I planted three Summer Palace last spring. Two were exactly like the picture on the top for color and form. The third was a different flower form altogether-- which, by the way, I was very happy to get! Use only photo on the top for referrence.

I don't see Boogie Woogie on any of the order forms I have going back the last 4 or 5 years. At any rate, Boogie Woogie is a lot more yellow cream/porcelian, even without the pink edge ( face on form in your picture looks like it tho). If yours is a Summer Pallace, then its a very 'light one'.

Yeah, Boogie Woogie, is who I was thinking of. But I agree that I don't think that is who it is, either. Is this a trumpet lily? The easiest thing to do is to send a picture to the Lily Garden and ask is they know who it is?? Smiling And as far as Boogie Woogie goes, I wasn't that impressed with it. Eh..

Yes, this is a trumpet lily. I checked the description of SP at TLG site and it says the pink coloration varies in intensity. Only the reverse is pink on this lily that I got. The inside is pure white. I will definitely email Ms. Freeman. Caravan is also mislabeled. I think it bloomed as Quintessence.

Thanks everyone. Smiling

Also of note is that 'Summer Palace' is a strain and not a clone. The lilies will be similar, but not exactly the same. And knowing how much factors like soil acidity and climate can change appearance, I would say it is not a stretch at all to think that it could actually be a Summer Palace. That's just me.
