Not doing much here other than watching the trees come down... Im not sure how I feel about it...Hmmmff....I like the fact the dead trees are down and the messy walnuts are gone....2/3 of my yard was spared...Now to clean up a VERY LARGE MESS...Better get my chain sharpened....Yes I run a small chain saw...and a straight shaft weed wacker that we put a 10 inch saw blade on,it will take down 3 inch trees and underbrush
On a better note...These red tulips are just the best bloomers ever,or lasting...Look at the bottom of the bloom ,they start turning yellow...
paper whites still putting on a show
2 white daffs hanging in...
Sorry, Y'all; I posted this one with the wrong name. It's actually 'Lilac Perfection'. I realized my mistake when I went to add it to the DB.
Tam, those are still so pretty.
Here are those water iris you gave me.
The streambed is dry now, like everything else; hopefully these sprinkles we're getting will amount to something, eventually. I'd like to eventually fill this (seasonal) streambed with river rock.
Janice, that is one of my raised terraced gardenbeds in my front yard. The iron you see is actually a batch of trellis, four in a row, with honeysuckle vines on them. I trimmed them back this spring.
It is just beautiful out today. I decided to move four daylily plants and after that I moved a catmint that was too far forward in an area. I wanted it back more so I put it back more. The daylilies I moved because I decided to fill in the last few empty spots up in my daylily plateau and also want to be planting something different (not daylilies) in the spot they used to be in. Now I have to go out and water my moved plants and then I am done with my garden chores for today.
Kinda. Except mine are really, really small. No one would plant these shrub for the looks of those flowers. But the scent is divine and the berries are numberous and so very sour. I bought mine at Raintree Nursery mail order. I have an entire mini hedgrow of them out in my front yard. They serve as the barrier between the area were the 350 gallon pond is and the gardens that face the street.

These are really, really tiny, too. Their scent is wonderful! The one thing about the scent that's peculiar is that you really can't sniff the blooms and catch it, but if you're a few yards away and downwind it about knocks you over because it smells so good! This was one of the plants on my *need to ID list*, so thanks for steering me in the right direction.
