rita ,im envious of all your different bulbs...I have a lot,but of the same, and Ive got a few different color daffs...I finally have a great Spring Bulb Show...There is nothing better in the spring..

I used to just buy whatever mixed daff bulbs I found locally in the fall but the only way to get a really great selection seems to be to buy on line which I now do.

Hurray, today I spotted bloom stalks coming up on a few of the Dutch Iris. The ones looking to bloom are some that are in between my TB iris in the mid backyard TB iris bed.

I planted my dutch iris two years ago, nothing last fall. But I have already ordered more from Brent&Beckies and intend to get more yet. I have decided on were to put some new ones.

The flowers are just so stunning. Look like iris and yet nothing else looks like dutch iris. And the vivid color combinations are fantastic. Unlike true iris, dutch iris are small bulbs. Look like onion sets to me.

'Peppermint Twist' creeping phlox is starting to bloom.

My irises aren't even budding, and not almost ready to, eithr.
Budding are:
culinary sage
monarda
and a couple more i'm too sleepy to remember,,,,

Some miniature dwarf irisess in bloom. TBs don't bloom until late May & early June here.

Here is my Shasta Viburnum in flower now. It makes small berries that turn red when ripe and the birds eat up.




And some of the azealas are blooming.

I never saw the little buds, but my bright green veronica has opened.
I'm lraving the house with the camera in the morning so I can post some pics.

Lovely, no sign of our dog tooth violets emerging.

These are ROULETTE daffodils I got from Brent&Beckies and planted last fall. I have them up top there over by the daylily driveway side slope. I love them because of the big showey flowers that are white with all the orange and green in the trumpets.

I have two containers with Salvias (Lipstick and Cherry Chief) that sat outside during our mild Winter and are blooming! A first time for me!

I've other containers of Salvias that have leaves and I'm looking forward to seeing them bloom. They survived also!

I'll have to take pics of those blooms!
