One of my recent purchases Wils. C porta 'Burgundy Bliss' tag also says..patent process initiated has opened a flower.

does this mean it is a new introduction and is in the process of being officially recognized ?

Bree, about the Zootrophion -
mine flower repeatedly and I looked at them truly closely, those stayed always closed for me.

wow Ursula weird. So yours open just abit to let bugs in? Could something be stopping them opening or is the type todd saw the only one that does open all the way up? Ive never even heard of them.

I didn't realize most Zootrophions DIDN'T open completely...this wild one was the only other I've seen other than those posted by Ursula.

Well, I was the opposite and thought none of them opened except the one you posted, Todd!! Rolling on the floor laughing We are all confused by an exception to the rule!
