Smiling Bill was looking out the window towards the dog run and saw Ms. Annie. I made sure all the dogs were inside and went to move her/him to the other side of the fence...looked at me like "Yeah, so what's your problem?" Finally success and here is the rest of the story.

Nice looking snake. So how did you move it?

First try....squirt bottle of water...just looked at me like I was nuts

second try....touched it's tail with my finger...just looked at me like I was nuts

third and successful...found a handy twig and tapped the ground with it by the snake's head. It acted like it wanted back in the run, but I convinced it that that was NOT a safe place to be. The week before D*O*G got and killed a hognose (at least I'm pretty sure) in the run. Ms. Annie kept me company all morning while I raked and trimmed. As you can see from the pics I got very up close and personal...only inches away. Whistling

LOL! I sometimes relocate lizards when I can, because of the pets I have. I've captured baby snakes in containers to relocate them, but the bigger ones probably aren't in danger from them.

Just found this thread. Cool Ginger! Great pics. We name things stuff like that too. We had a pair of Scrub Jays we called Batman & Ladywife. Batman would swoop down & land on his feet just like you could see him putting his fists on his hips with his shoulders thrown back & head & beak tilted slightly up like some superhero. Ladywife was strong but demure but boy she could sure bitch at Batman when she took a notion! Put him right in his place! Rolling on the floor laughing
