Ginger goes everywhere. I cant imagine how it migrates.I have never seen a bloom that would allow seed dispersal.

This kind.Its impossible to kill. I transplanted 2 big clumps in our mild January. Nothing phased them.

yours looks like the European wild ginger ( Asarum europaeum)
and LeeAnne's looks like the native wild Canadian ( Asarun canadense)
These type of gingers Mostly spread from underground rhizomes.
..a balanced life is worth pursuit.

Yours does look more like European but mine spreads very slow, wish mine would take off.They are not cheap.
