Such a massive job! I'll count myself lucky, at least until the first chilly night.

I moved all my intermediate to warm growers inside today too. Watering is going to be a challange now, as all will have to be moved to the sink, or bathtub for anything more than misting. It's going to be a long winter.

No kathy, I can't. In the livingroom they're on a bookcase, and in my bedroom they're on a dresser....both in south facing windows. Very crowded! Hilarious!

Well, I just watered in the cool room and it was a breeze. That is the true test! Still thinking about stringing a light above the cyms so the flowers don't distort. But that would be really hard to do with all those plants everywhere!

Why don't you get a large greenhouse built so you don't have to move them?

I can't afford to heat one for nine months a year.

We've already tried to convince her Bree!
Kathy, I just took a tour of my employers 152 acre greenhouse...yes 152 acres under one
continuous roof! They heat it with scrap wood that is chipped up and comes from no farther
away than a 30 mile radius. The wood is basically old pallets , wood chips from the utility guys
cleaning the area around the lines, and bits from lumber and pulp mills.Very similar to pellet
fuel furnaces...

wow nice. Imagine the orchids you could fit into that! Hurray!
Call me lazy but i'd rather work to pay to heat them than carry them in and out. Whistling

I'm hoping I do not need to heat my new lanai/greenhouse. We have few winter days without sun.

I can't imagine you would need to, Jim.
I haven't turned on the heat here yet, even so night time temps dipped in the forties quite a few times already this Fall, the greenhouse temperature didn't drop below 58 degr F yet. Probably this week I will need to turn on the heat, after all this is NJ. Smiling
