Now that it's getting darker earlier I enjoy my garden solar lights and solar chimes.
Some are posts with dragon flies on top that light up, others are butterflies and humming birds on posts struck in the ground that light up in the garden at night.

Also have a few frogs by the pond, the frog bellies light up at night.

Also area light motion detectors, walkway and driveway all solar lights no electricity to hook up. Especially at night they are very nice to add movement with the hanging solar light chimes at night with bees and hummer birds hanging all lit up at night changing colors randomly thru reds blues greens turquoise... nice light show for the garden and cheap no electricity needed.

It's so dark no street lights around these solar lights really glow and light up the garden add color and motion.

Anyone else have a obsession for their garden besides plants? Rolling my eyes.

They are very, very nice! I've been thinking about doing this for a while. The local box store (Ocean State Job Lot) has different types for very low prices. Thanks for posting this!

Joannakat solar lights are not spendy at all. In fact a few times last winter when we lost power I just plucked a few solar lights from the garden and lit up the inside of house. Now how many homes have butterflies lighting up the house. Rolling my eyes.

Solar light have so many styles and add a bit of fun, whimsy, and character and believe it or not the motion detector solar lights and solar light changing colors randomly scare off the racoons. I haven't lost a fish yet.

Cheers Smiling

Your idea just turned into a tripple idea! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Do you think the motion lights would scare off rabbits? I have some that are literally chopping down my plants. They don't even eat them, they just bite through and leave them on the ground.

I like them but the other half is the one who puts them in and takes care of them.
She does not do a very good job of that so they do not last too long.

Hi RpR, They really put a smile on my face thru the gloomy winters.
I just pluck the stake solar lights up out in the open gardens, turn them off and put them in a bucket till next year, leave the water proof lights out. It's become an obsession or politely said a collection! Big Grin
They r Really pretty in snow!

Ginny, that is so interesting! I wonder if that would work with rabbits too? They've been a bit of a problem out here, maybe I'll give it a try.

My landlady added a few basic solars around the property, so naturally I grabbed a few for my stone path. They're nothing special but they sure look nice.
