According to my records, these are "MonteNegro lilies" given to me by Zuzu 2 years ago. This is the first year they have bloomed (don't ask...bless their little tough hearts!).

Obviously, they are not Monte Negros. Zuzu had ordered these bulbs and had them sent directly to me as a housewarming present, and those were the only lilies I got. I'm thinking that the bulbs were mis-marked.

Either way, they are spectacular! They would like to have their proper name though Green Grin!

Thanks!!

I would say it is either Forever Susan or Starlette, they look very similar.

Asiatic Lily (Lilium 'Forever Susan')

Lily (Lilium 'Starlette')

Forever Susan seems to be the one that is more commonly available.

Thank you, Connie!

It looks like the Starlette has a lighter purple before the orange, which the Forever Susan (and mine) doesn't. That makes me lean toward the Forever Susan.

I don't remember when I sent you lilies, but it had Starlette in it, I think. Maybe you got last years and this years mixed up, is that possible? Of course I've never mixed up anything in my life, LOL.

I think *I'm* mixed up at the moment!!

I'm going to go back and check tree-mails. I know for sure that I have "Polly's lilies" (2 different varieties) in a different place. So, either I replanted a third variety that you sent in the exact location because I really wanted lilies there, or ????

If you did indeed send Starlett, these are them, because they aren't anywhere else. I was doing really well labeling last year, or so I thought!

Never fear...I'm not usually this mixed up....really!!

Starlette, Olina and Golden Stone should have been in there. But who knows what I did.

I would say "who knows what *I* did!
Well, that clears up that mystery. Part of it anyway. Now I wonder what happened to the Monte Negros, and the labels! (and my brain).

-clears throat-

Polly- the first of your lilies are blooming! They are beautiful!!
