Hi, critter. I noticed in the photo info that it is a "Blanc Anemone." Never heard of that, though.

It looks like Anemone de caen of which there's many forms or hybrids. 'blanc' means simply white, so it's a white anemone.

Yes, it was "named" as a photograph by the photographer who isn't necessarily a gardener, nevermind a botanist!

And since I posted my question, I've found that some blue anemones do have blue there, like this one:

So maybe the photo isn't retouched for that.

I want it's real name so I can hunt for it and bring it home to live with me!

You may not be able to find a named variety of Anemone de caen which looks like that, they usually come in mixtures. Years ago I bought named blue and white ones, if you can find any good luck. Sometimes they are sold by nurseries already in flower but normally they are sold as dry corms.
