We were in Pennsy over the weekend, had a really nice camp fire going in the evening, it was FUN! It was full house having the family and some friends together.
Coming back to a wonderful show here in October! Lovey dubby

Jim, nice lip on the Blc Hawallan Leopard 'Mai Ling' and 'Freckles' is still my favorite Hoku Gem.

Carol, the Ansellia looks beautiful! I like the Blc. Erin Kobayashi X.

Kathy, Asda. Susan Ong 'Ah Mooi' is probably my most favorite Ascda! Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Pretty color and the pattern is really nice.

Ursula, love the color on Fuchs Joy and the bloom on Coelogyne Golden Bug. What are your thoughts on my new Lc Warneri purpurata 'Brazilian' X B nodosa? I like it because it scratches my recent Brassavola itch. I mounted it on coconut fiber today and hope it adapts. In fact I repotted all of them and got rid of that wet packed moss. I have visions of root rot every time I see that stuff.

Thanks!!

Jim, you are asking me? I myself prefer these "speckle-meisters" with a touch more color. The Lc Warneri purpurata 'Brazilian' X B nodosa looks a lot like older blooms on Bl Morning Glory. But - I could imagine that a well grown plant with lots of spikes would surely put on a very nice show. I suppose, one needs to see the whole plant down the road - ratio of plant to flower?

Thanks, I appreciate your insite. I think it will do much better mounted than in that little pot. I'm fond of the delicate white Brassavola type flowers for some reason.

I, like you Jim, go through making collections of an alliance. I often do it without knowing if I will be successful (life on the edge). If I can't get them to rebloom, I go through a lot of contortions to figure it out and often I do eventually after I have 40 of them!!! But there is nothing like figuring out an entire alliance and having most of the 40 happily blooming!! I've got the cyms down. Now for the maxillarias and the paphs!!

Spent the day repotting, finding scale and spraying and working on my inventory list. Phew! I have about 3 missing plants here somewhere! Blinking If they bloom I'll find em!

Carol, that is a great show you have on the go. Does the tag on your ALICEARA say Hilo Ablaze?

Well Jim you were spot on with those choices. I am partial to blooms with spots.

Nice ones Ursula, Ascda Fuchs Joy stands out for me.

Kathy, that Luna is a beauty night or day.

Miltoniopsis Andrea West 'Wild Wild West' has a very mild scent of fresh cut up rhubarb.

Beautiful Bree!
Yes, the tag reads Alcra. Hilo ablaze 'Hof'. I bought it at a recent show from a vendor I'm not familiar with, so it could be misspelled. What ever it is I like it. It even has a light scant in the evening. Hilarious!
