Does your Brassia get cold? I've heard of folks using a cold room for their Brassias. Mine never bloom so I will try this.

It is a happy plant but rarely blooms. I had one bloom last time so I am encouraged with 2! Hilarious! When I first got it, it was so easy to bloom....Go figure.

My brassias hang out there with everything else. They get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I don't give them much sun...kind of like the dendrobiums. I usually get two blooming periods per year.

Nice Brassia!
My Fall blooming Cattleyas are now starting to push through the sheaths and one of the Blc Dennis Kone 'Lakeview' AM/AOS divisions opened a first spike this week. Since I had hacked this plant apart in the Spring, I didn't expect the usual full spikes this year, but I am happy. The blooms are very fragrant.

I should add - if this Orchid isn't grown in full sun without any protection, the new growth will be very floppy. Bright sun and flood daily during the Summer and now high up next to the Cacti.

My Potinara Burana Beauty 'Burana' HCC/AOS had to be re-grown and so it didn't bloom last year.
2 spikes this October, the blooms are sweetly fragrant.

A small spike on Neostylis Lou Sneary 'Bluebird' is opening. I love the delicate touches on these blooms.

I really enjoy the next one- Darwinara Charm 'Blue Star' HCC/AOS x Vanda amesiana ( from Silva Orchids)
The flowers are not quite as blue, I had trouble getting the precise shade. The full plant shot is perhaps slightly more accurate.
