I've had very good results growing from seed under the Sun Blaze lighting fixture that I got for Christmas last December. Here are some photos of one of my propagation tables:

Very nice. Everything looks healthy!

Is that seed started set the bottom watering one from Lee Valley? If so, do you like it?

Yes, Karen, I like it very much. It has performed well, just as advertized.

Thanks, Mike. I might try those next year. I've used the APS system from Gardener's Supply. I just have 2 of the little "windowsill" size. They work really well, but they're made of styrofoam, and I broke one. Yours look comparable, but longer lasting.

I've seen those on Lee Valley's site before.

I like the lee valley ones too.. the water level thing makes it easy to see if something in the back row needs water.. just have to be sure to use the right mix.. or it can get too wet.. the coir was no good .. I really like my Hydrofarm T5 setup as well

Allison, is that your picture with your wintersown seedlings at the bottom, using yellow label tape? Are you using the tape over a mini blind slat? Do you have a picture of your indoor lighting system set up?

they are tags from novesel.. the tape fits them perfectly.. but you can use mini blinds.. they bend if you plant them in the ground sometimes... it annoys me so I get the stronger ones for the beds.. I have a couple of set ups.. let me see what I can find

I added a 6 bulb system under a plastic folding table from costco.. got real hot under there .. wasn't too good.. this is an old shot before the big light was in

will have to dig around for a shot of the industrial shelving Randy brought home from his old job.. they were racks an auto place would store parts on.. super strong.. and they were free!!!.. we only had to buy ply wood for shelves.. have those in two rooms

bought this bakers rack at HD this year.. of course I moved the lights closer

more or less the same industrial rack set up in the basement.. but much larger .. and I took some shelves out to keep the bigger plants like my figs this year.. the basement is the get watered when I remember place.. so I usually keep bigger pots down there with older dormant plants like my begonias, agastache and anything I overwinter
