I used to go to this sale every year rain or shine I have not been to it for about five years. I am being tempted to go this year as their plant listing is twenty four pages long. I think I will see if I can talk my hubby or neighbor ladies into going along. I have a wagon in which I would put laundry baskets to help hold the plants. This sale is spread out over a good size area and you need to bring a wagon or something if you want to do some serious plant shopping. I have found many treasures over the years to add to my garden.
There were a couple of years I came home soaking wet learned to take rain gear along in case of rain.

Anyone who might be interested once you get to the Minnesota landscape aboretum site do a search for the Auxiliary Spring Plant Sale List it will be May 12th and 13th.

Guess you can tell I am very proud of our beautiful aboretum if anyone gets the chance to visit it you will most certainly enjoy your visit there is plenty to see as it is well over I think a hunderd acres.

The sale is quite the sight to see they often show the start of it on local tv news channels they do not let anyone enter the sale area until the start time. Then it is the mad run of lots of crazy gardeners to try and get their hands on the plants they want, it has gotten larger and better organized over the years so there is plenty for everyone.
