Meanwhile , Phrag La Vivace Epicure Phyllis D Turner is a knock out! Is this a new plant for you?
I love the colors , on the close up especially. Slc. India Rose Sherwood 'Kiilani is also a beauty, the
lighting really enhances the red and green.

Thanks! Phrag La Vivace Epicure Phyllis D Turner (Phragmipedium klotzscheanum x Phragmipedium pearcei) is about three years old. I bought it because of a Phrag pearcei I see at the Smith College Greenhouse.

Checking in to see the lovely photos and say, "Hi!" Congrats on your new computer, Kathy. I'd probably need medication to make a techno shift. I handle new technology poorly (read kicking and screaming). I have not photographed my newer weird wonders so there is nothing to share and nothing in bloom. Some of the plants were pretty run down. All were duplexing with wire worms and snails. That would be triplexing? The price we pay to forage for something unique, I guess. I did acquire a Cym. dayanum back with the odd gals. It is awesome in every way. Delicate, fragrant and sequentially spiking and blooming for over a month now. It was a little run down and cramped when I got it so I repotted it thinking I'd rather not have flowers this year but have a healthy plant. What a shock when it started to spike and bloom weeks later.Thumb of 2010-12-22/Maypoplaurel/8077f5

Oh Laurel. Love that one!!!! Guess it's going to be very reliable. The flower reminds me of Cym aloifolium.

Kathy, pretty!!
Laurel, I have a Cym. dayanum. It bloomed a couple of years ago very nicely for me, but has been now silent. Can you share your secret in getting this beauty to bloom so well for you?
