We're going out to dinner soon and then on to midnight mass where my voice will be tested as a choir member in the 2 hour service. Let me take this opportunity to wish each and everyone of you a quiet, peaceful, reflective evening and may all the joys of the season be yours. God bless you.

No, we had Christmas eve with Rob, Jeannette and little Jake and Jeannette's family. They always do Chinese take-out on Christmas eve, it was Fun and very turbulent with a lot of kids and presents unwrapping etc.
We will see my daughter and the girls today! Smiling
Here is little Jake, who was a trooper through the whole thing, what a sweetie. (piccie pulled off his mom's fb page)

Just back in the house. Santa brought a Tablet, which they say is like an Ipad. I have no clue but I will learn. The temps today were in the 70s but they say a big change is coming. It looks like I will be moving orchids tomorrow afternoon and covering tropicals on Monday. No rest for the wicked.

We had snow today... looks like 4 inches. Better melt soon... Weather says it is to be in the 50's this week and still have bulbs to get in...
Jake is the cutest Santa ever, Ursula!!!!
Happy New Year everyone! Lovey dubby

Like the gift certificate from Andy's! We are having Xmas tomorrow early morning so we can get home before the snowstorm starting at noon. What brand is your tablet Jim? We spent the day calling family, wrapping presents, eating, walking, napping and playing with many electronic devices in parallel play.

Kathy, My new tablet is a Samsung 'Galaxy'. I hope I can learn to use it.

Ursula, gotta love little Jake!

Cold, overcast, windy and rain today. Low tonight will be around 35 degrees with a freeze predicted for tomorrow night. I'll bring all of the orchids in this afternoon and start covering tropicals. That is always a tuff job in the wind. I hear the iguanas are once again falling out of the trees in South Florida. Last winter just about wiped them out and this one may be their death blow. Also of note, the tropical fish farms are taking another hit. Look for higher prices at your local pet store. Strawberry and veggie farmers are also suffering. Strange times.

Brrrrrrrrrr here too. They kept revising the forcast downward all day and now the low tonight is predicted to be 32. So, I spent the afternoon and evening draging out the blankets and covering the tropicals. I have almost everything ready and will touch up a bit tomorrow for the cooldest night of this onslought. Putting blankets over plants in a 30 mph wind is very interesting. Grumbling
