What does "(*T*)" mean? If it is a standard abbreviation used on this forum, it should be defined somewhere and the key should be easily found, like in a Sticky pegged to the top of the forum. I bet I'm not the first one to wonder and we want these forums to be as user-friendly and helpful as possible. That's the only way we can attract more traffic.

Thanks!
Carol

The gals who moderate this forum have designated *t* to mean "tutorial". It has been the best system they have come up with for people to be able to find the tutorials- otherwise, they will be lost.

Until Dave programs a special section, they've made do Green Grin!

We greatly appreciate our moderators for all of their hard work Hurray! Hurray!

Thanks, Trish! Can the moderator define it in a sticky thread at the top?

No, there are well over 20 tutorials that I know of. We've instructed the moderators that we don't want a huge list of stickies in each forum. That's why I said that they've "made do" with what we've given them Smiling

We'll come up with a better system someday, but for now, our energies are still placed on major features.

How about as a compromise, in the sidebar where is has the link titled "List Of Tutorials" you just add the (*t*) so it then reads "List of Tutorials (*t*)? I know it's one more thing for someone to do, but it should not be a major job and would avoid the question "what the heck does (*t*) mean??" Smiling

Trish, it sounded to me like Carol was asking to sticky the definition, not the 20 tutorials. It actually makes sense for there to be one sticky thread at the top of each forum that explains things about that particular forum -- unusual terms, etc. The terms could be added to the first post in the "welcome to the whatever forum!" sticky thread (assuming there is such a thread - I don't pay much attention to the sticky posts, personally).

Looks good in the sidebar over there, Becky and Vic (whoever did it). And not too difficult for mods to add something like that to a sidebar.
