Speaking of fungus, here is an insect theme. When you start to look as if you are a bug, look what you see.......
First, a hot beetle chick beckoning. Oh, Oh!!!

Ursula, the fungus thing was a joke but no one got it. For Lent we are suppose to give up something so I decided to give up the black spot, brown spot, root rot, etc., that attack my orchids. Certainly would be better to give that up than, let's say, wine.

Pretty Pixie!

I took about a hundred pictures by today, trying to capture the sparkling deep red-violet blooms on my Potinara Red Heart 'Neptune'. I think I give up, this is as good as I can do. Hopefully you can imagine it. The scent is really lovely too.

Kathy, pretty, pretty and cute, cute, very cute! Lovey dubby I love the Den PeeWee x Red River.

Bill, what a nice looking Masdie.

And about the Pot. Red Heart - the color is a very strong violet/hot pink and it sparkles. My camera and both lenses have trouble capturing the precise shade. But a better photographer might do a better job with my equipment. In any case, I love it!!

I try all the light settings, incandescent if it's too warm, fluorescent if too cool, auto, sun, shade, custom using a gray card. I also vary the dark and light scale. And if all that fails I use Photoshop. If none of that works, I try a different day with more or less sunlight.
